about

Like the bible, this album ends with the Apocalypse. Although it is not about some freaky horsemen, but about what ultimately will end life on earth: the climate catastrophe. All human-made.
Where's your god now?

When I wrote these lyrics in 2017, I didn't expect the scenario of fires consuming everything to become reality as soon as two and a half years later. :(

lyrics

Fire, fire
Raining from the sky
The forest is burning
And the lake's run dry
Fire around us
The front is closing in
And not a single airplane to be seen

And then the city went in heat and light
The community still trapped inside
As the church lit up the people cried
for Jesus, Jesus

Stormwind, stormwind
Drowning us in rain
all the streets are flooded
The roof's been blown away
Water's rising
The radio is dead
Destruction's taken everything we had

And then the stormflood took the city down
and left inhabitants to drown
With no one left to help them now
They cried Jesus, Jesus

A storm arose over the desert land
where human life has come to an end
And in the temple the curtain was torn
As the walls collapsed under the earthly force ...

And the sun burns on the battlefield
over the remains of old machines
On a skeleton there's a locket that reads
Jesus, Jesus

I put my pants on just like the rest of you -- one leg at a time. Except, once my pants are on, I make songs that no one cares about.
