MUSIC:
My friend Nadine said I should make more shoegaze songs, and so thought I. I also realized that my last songs were all around 86 bpm, so I was in the mood for a faster song. So I set the tempo, tuned the guitar to DADGAD (or C#G#C#F#G#C# to be precise), dialed in the fuzz and got strumming. My influence was Chapterhouse's "Breather", one of the best songs of that era. I hope it doesn't show too much.

Um, can we talk about us having a climate crisis for a change? That we have about 15 years left to drastically cut carbon emissions to avoid the very worst or else we're DOOMED?
Working in the renewable energy sector I'm confronted with a lot of resistance, some of which comes from our government itself. There is so much resistance against change, even if it's so obviously for the better. Discussions on Facebook show that fear in black on white, all that "ThE GrEeNs WaNt uS tO LiVe oN TrEeS AgAiN aNd tAkE uS BaCk tO tHe MidDLe AgEs!!!!! I WiLl havE tO TrAdE iN My CaR fOr A HorSe cARriAgE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Fuck you. There's such a lack of imagination, because invention and creativity is what is needed now, and it's all already happening. In an interview with transformation researcher Maja Göpel pointed out how important it is not to talk about what we have to give up, but show up scenarios of what there is to be gained. Every fifth death globally is due to environmental pollution – is this not something worth getting rid of!?
