I have been meaning to write a song in the style of King's X, the Aaahhh refrain is inspired by "Out Of The Silent Planet". Around that I've been collecting riffs and verses for at least three songs, in the end I used something that I stole from Alice In Chains ("Lab Monkey"). Recording it I came up with the last section and threw in the Deftones "Be Quiet And Drive" riff (also the chords on Foo Fighters' "Everlong" btw) for good measure. So, there you have it, art is theft.
I was excited about the song when I wrote it, but now I am not so much any more, don't know, I still feel it misses something.
